Evanelle Ilze has arrived!

Stinky diapers again?

Evanelle Ilze arrived on the 24th of July at 1:11 pm! Amy was in serious labor for a little over an hour - I hesitate to say that it was easy as nothing about this process can be called easy - but at least it was better than some of the stories we've heard. Eva is already growing into the impressive chin she was born with, and is getting cuter every day. Mom and baby are doing well, the latter is eating like a champ and the former is just happy to sleep on her stomach again :) Kai man is adjusting slowly - he already giving her kisses on the head - and although he has had some bouts of jealously he seems to have accepted this new addition to our family - at least for the time being. The shots of Kai here are from a pre-birth Phad Thai feeding we had (he loves the stuff) and of him winking - everything else is PE - post Evanelle.

The new one is almost here!

Looks like we're just days away from the arrival of the new baby - Kai is certainly taking advantage of the little 1 on 1 time he has with us. Lots of swimming, hanging out, going to the park with Mom, Dad, Milica and her husband Mirko. One big happy family in temporary housing - hooray!?! Will send pictures and an update as soon as Evanelle/Devon/Sasha/Liga/Inara decides to come out...

He's back!

Well, after a lot of travel on everyone's part we are all back together in VA. Kai got a kick out of the fireworks this year (as you can see), and is enjoying living close to a pool and hanging out with Mom, Milica, Mirko (Milica's husband who is here for a visit) and now Dad! The long term apartment we're in now is nice, but I think we're all looking forward to setting up shop in our house as soon as we can.
