Trip to the village

Some friends of ours asked us to head to their village in northern Serbia for a little weekend fun this past memorial day - it was Kai's first experience with lots of cows, sheep, pigs and such. As usual he entered the fray with no fear, although he still doesn't quite understand that each animal has its own unique noise (they all say "baaaa" according to him, including cats, pigs, and cows). You can see that he loved the cuisine (he's chewing on a lamb bone in this picture), as well as tractors, bugs and mud puddles... Included a post-bath picture from our return home just because it's cute...

I can't believe you guys will be back soon! The photos are so beautiful...though I would love some more family. Has there ever been a happier boy? He just looks so content. I miss all of you. Just got 'mono' as luck would have it...yes, only I can get mono at 38 9/10 of age. Anyway, call me when things settle. I'm not contagious anymore. Oh, and I ride horses a lot, so Kai can continue his intro to animals that say baa. Love, Victoria
